I heart hollywood bowl!
when we got to the bowl (after our super fun musical game show cab ride with Rockin' Ron), we realized the seats we purchased were already occupied. instead of making them move, we went up to the tippy top of the bowl, past all the seats & almost in the mountain. we stayed there the entire show, slow dancing, jumping around & playing air guitar! It was such fun! The lead singer of journey is an asian fellow who won a reality show contest & at times we felt like we were watching karaoke in koreatown.

This band first formed the same year that this smiling bearded young man was born, 1973. While both quite successful(one has sold 80 million records, one has bought nearly as many) the bearded one looks much better for wear... and will not stop beleavin' in the smiling young lady that appears next to him. The real Journey lies ahead.

I saw a Journey concert on Paladia this weekend with that singer and it was so weird. He SOUNDS just like Steve Perry but he looks like he's just playing the part of the singer in a movie. I wonder what it's like to be in a band like that...huge success, but at the same time you're stuck playing the same 15 songs for the rest of your life. Like being in a really limited cover band that makes a ton of money. -- Jaimie
