The City of Waterless Fountains

I spent the weekend at THE PLAZA (fancy area known for their high end shopping) in Kansas City, Missouri. KC is the city of FOUNTAINS (and statues) - they are EVERYWHERE and usually brimming with water! With the temperature close to freezing, the fountains are empty right now - which was too bad because it would have been that much more beautiful! I flew Midwest Airlines (my new favorite- it was a dream...warm chocolate chip cookies, more recline-able than usual seats, a foot rest, huge leather seats that separate you from the drooling spooky on the other side of a rather large console!)
My parents and I had the best time together- It was so needed! Highlights of our adventures: Beautiful architecture, Skelly Oil Building (where my grandparents met), Christmas shopping (mostly for me- ipod, itrip, clothes, dishes, glasses, steamer, make-up, amazing candle- THANK YOU so very much mom & dad!), famous BBQ (scared burnt ends?), Is KCI also MCI?, Ginger Grace, My dad is so hip- he got himself an ipod!, apple stock, 810 radio station, Who will get Hide the Monkey?, football games, my mid life crisis melt down cry fest / throw up attempt- they handled it well, room service, Curb marathon, TMYLM, The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (my dad could have lead a tour, he was such an expert!), getting lost in the jazz neighborhood, Winsteads: cold hamburgers, bad service and a surprisingly decent crowd, exploring knee surgery, Tiffany & Co for a certain someone, dog debates (airedale vs. griffs), my slow camera, too many starbucks runs, my new friend Tim the pilot...It was a fantastic getaway! Next time lets do Chicago!

Next time let's do Austin, Texas?
How about Spring Training in Arizona? The best part of last weekend was just being with you, our beautiful spirited daughter!
