valentine party hostess with the mostess!

Carefully curated for seven years, my annual old fashioned valentine party is simply put, the best place to be at the beginning of February- ask anyone! My Mom invented the party & I love that I carry on the tradition with my friends! It's a magical soiree that brings a bunch of hot babes together for an afternoon of sparkly gorgeousness!! We craft valentines not only for cute boys (& husbands), but for our parents, siblings, grandparents & all our friends!!! - who doesn't delight in receiving a message of LOVE in the mail? Our handmade valentines (often sealed with a kiss) are so adored by their recipients, we often get thank you cards just for sending them! This year I went for an eclectic "grandmother's china cabinet" feel using my collection of state plates, china & cake stands from numerous estate sales, my grandmother's pretty pink glassware & silver and gorgeous pink glass bowls from a thrift store. I just wanted it to be pretty & happy! I find myself prepping for my favorite party all year long. I sew garlands, make corsages, design the invitations & constantly collect pretty adornments; flea market finds, stamps, vintage valentines, admit one raffle ticket rolls, a typewriter, ribbons galore, heart stickers, emily bronte love quotes, broaches, lace, sequins hearts, circus tickets, maps, cards, jewels, doilies, scrabble tiles & pretty fabric - I can never have enough! Get your girls together & start your own tradition. It's the perfect excuse to sip champagne in mason jars through super cute striped straws, gussy up in super girly attire, feel the love in the air, admire each other's craftiness, share stories & get wild, all while listening to Hall & Oates!!

 Be Mine,

 Meg
