what to wear to esquela!

as you hopefully know by now, I like to call myself "a regular" at esquela taqueria, so I was thrilled that refinery 29 did this cute little write up about our favorite taco joint! PS -I have one of the "dime-store paintings"!!!
We’ve cooked up the Perfect Outfit to wear to L.A.'s yummiest taco stop, Escuela Taqueria.

While we appreciate a five-course meal with crystal wine glasses, sometimes a no-fuss, hearty dinner is the only thing that will hit the spot. So, when we’re craving tasty tacos plus awesome ambience, without the stuffiness (think Shepard Fairey on the wall, dime-store paintings, and background music courtesy of A Tribe Called Quest), we always hit up Escuela Taqueria. SoCal restaurateur extraordinaire Steven Arroyo is the main man behind this yummy Mexican eatery, and his menu is filled to the brim with ethically raised meats, locally grown veggies, and plenty of dishes featuring flavors that are out of this world (plus, everything comes with not-the-usual accompaniments like pickled cactus and onions, habanero cole slaw, and pumpkin seed gremolata). And, while the south-of-the-border fare doesn’t have a Michelin star quite yet, the vibe at this 25-seat restaurant always gets an A+ in our book, especially when paired with their refreshing cucumber mint agua fresca (spike it with some BYOT—bring your own Tequila). Since we want your only concern to be whether you should splurge on the elotes or the churros, we’ve gone ahead and done the second half of your dining equation—putting together the coolest fall-ready outfit for your next meal at Escuela Taqueria. Part California rancher, part the West Hollywood not-trying thing, our Perfect Outfit is muy laid-back: Just throw on this Duro Olowu printed dress, a pair of kick-ass lace-up boots from the always-reasonable Aldo, and a swipe of your favorite Nars eye shadow, and you'll be ready for a fiesta of fashionable—and super-tasty—flavors.
