There was a rampant rumor running among the pedagogical bigwigs in the UC system a few years back.. that UCSB had been promoting the use of alliterations in English 101.The blog title "fabulous fall fete" is just another nail in that coffin! (UCLA was found guilty of over use of metaphors).
