day tripping: pasadena

There are 120 acres at The Huntington Library and I just might have covered them all on Sunday! Down the rolling lawn, nestled between the japanese garden, the desert garden and camellia collection you could have found me on a sophisticated outing that included a peacock rug, kiwi & the new york times!

The juxtaposition of these very great gatsby moments with the very pedestrian second leg of the Pasadena tour (classic car show, flip flop purchasing & a sidewalk chalk competition) make me chuckle to myself that so many diverse activities can be fit into one afternoon!

I heart pasadena even though they like car shows!
