Shame on Meg!

Well kids, it's that time again! My lease is up - time to turn in my car and get a new one! This may sound like a fun endeavor to you, but for me, it's just terrible! My car is soooo beat up -Anyone and everyone has crashed into it, I have watched many a hubcap roll off in my rear view mirror - Every night I lay awake wondering how I will come up with the $3,000+ for the body work by November 16th when I turn it in (not to mention the thousands I need to put down on a new car). I do realize that this is all my fault and that I alone have put myself in this position. I knew this needed to be taken care of and as usual, I have procrastinated to the final hour! I would much rather go on a thrift store shopping spree or a dinner at Cobras & Matadors or buy a couch or a fancy dress than put my hard earned money into my stupid car - and now I am scrambling to make it happen! I had it detailed today because it will be inspected tomorrow and soon I will have a HUGE detailed list from Volkswagen of things I need to fix ASAP. Wish me luck and don't hesitate to send me a donation. God speed. Sorry I am bad.

Good Luck and let us know what happens... cars are so over-rated. I refuse to buy something new and nice because the first time you take it to a grocery store parking lot... you are sure to come back and find a ding in it!

I just spent the past hour reading your blog (Kennedy gets up at 5am, so otherwise, I would rather be sleeping). :-) It was delightful to catch up on your life. I love all the photos of you and Mia. Oh, and good luck with turning in your car. You should check out leasetrader.com. There are people on there trying to get out of their lease... you may be able to get a good deal. At least no money down.
