As the rain began to pour, Mia and I hailed a cab to Radio City Music Hall for the "Sex and the City" premiere!!! Joan Allen, Mia and I fought through the screaming masses on our way to pick up our tickets - the streets were absolutely packed with thousands of fans (you couldn't even walk on 51st street) trying to get a look at the red carpet. The three of us cut in a line of premiere goers that had been waiting for two hours to get in...we are so sneaky!
Once inside, SJP said a few kind words to the steadfast fans before the movie and the crowd went WILD!! SATC writer and director Michael Patrick King said he had his mother to thank for the rain ending soon after we all arrived. “I knew it would stop by the time we started, because my Irish Catholic mother sat by the window in the hotel all day and prayed to God,” King said. “It went something like this: ‘Dear God, please don’t let it rain on my son’s big sex party tonight.' ”

The movie was FANTASTIC! Mia and I were crying before it even began (and plenty during) - we LOVED it!!!! You must rush out to see it. Most everyone headed to the Museum of Modern Art after the screening for an after-party that included music from DJ Samantha Ronson, bars serving cosmopolitans (they're back!) and food stations featuring everything from ceviche to lo mein and steamed dumplings (the food was kinda gross) - The guest list included Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Chris Noth, Jason Lewis, Jennifer Hudson, Evan Handler, Willie Garson, David Eigenberg, Michael Patrick King, Joan Allen, Ashanti, Sean Avery (NY Ranger), Mark Badgley & James Mischka, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Kristen Bell, Lorraine Bracco, Idina Menzel & Taye Diggs, Missy Elliot, Edie Falco, Josh Duhamel & Fergie, Jeff Gordon (NASCAR), Jill Hennessy, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Nicolas Ghesquière, Caroline Kennedy, Phillip Lim, Eli Manning, Bette Midler, Nicole Miller, Isaac Mizrahi, Ashley Olsen, Zac Posen, Caroline Rhea, Narciso Rodriguez, Amy Ryan, David Schwimmer, Jerry & Jessica Seinfeld, Molly Sims, Peter Som, Andre Leon Talley, Donald & Melania Trump, Dean Winters and Anna Wintour. i cannot believe you megan taylor! that is unreal. most of us are thrilled to see the movie. YOU actually go to the NYC premier and get a picture with Stanford... I am now even MORE excited to see it.
