In an effort to be punctual, at 11:10pm sharp we left BondSt and shot over to the Viper Room to meet up with a bunch of people and hear a friend's band play at 11:30pm. AAHHHH - the Viper Room - loud and grimey. The band didn't actually take the stage until 12:45am, but we had a blast despite our surroundings. Highlights: school boy blazer with brass buttons, life vest, Are those tattoos real? - no, they are drawn on before a big show, the bouncer with the bad attitude, school girl hussies, after 30 you should really consider cutting your hair, Steven Tyler with his shirt off, the Village Idiot bartender turned rock star, suspenders are in- who knew?, please can we go now? and Canadians.

If it's good enough for Lindsay Lohan....
Thank you for your brilliant (strong word for what you offered up) suggestions for our HOT Friday night plans - We actually came up with something all on our own- We've still got it! Mia, Hillary & I met up for a drink at BondSt, the NY transplant sushi restaurant/ lounge at the brand new Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel (been open for a week). We are predicting this to be the new "hot spot" as Lindsay Lohan seemed to be enjoying herself right next to us. The decor is minimalist, masculine and I guess "sexy" (our waitress told us it was "sexy" over and over like a broken record) - Lots of dark leather, cowhide rugs, suede and zebra wood. The crowd deserved the best dressed in LA award- very chic, sophisticated and east coast! Highlights: Hill smelling the man wearing Creed Silver Mountain cologne, The doors to the bathroom stalls, almost being kicked out for flash photography, the cool cool second floor back room, spicy tuna roll snack, communal table made from a 2500 year old tree and learning the rooms are $500 a night.

you are a good friend
fun sarah fact: i worked at the original NYC bond street while in college. martha stewart was a regular and would show up at her exact reservation time...down to the minute, say 8PM for instance. if her table wasn't ready by 8:01PM - heads would roll and then she would leave. also, i once spilled a large bowl of spicy tuna sauce down a lovely gentleman's coat and didn't tell him, hoping he wouldn't notice. yay!
